The Great Landslide by Richard Edmonds

The Bindon Landslide of 1839, which created Goat Island and the Chasm, is one of the most famous landslides in the world and yet there is no modern model of how it formed or general agreement on the processes involved. Can new monitoring data from the Plymouth Coastal Observatory and ultra high resolution photography obtained by a drone shine new light on this iconic landform and lead to a greater understanding as to how it formed?
